Install VoxCPMTTS

Stable v1.0 or rolling latest
Choose rolling latest for automatic GPU memory sizing and current updates, or stable v1.0 locked to its published SHA-256 digest. The generated stable command includes the documented 12 GB GPU memory setting.

Who should be able to open it?

Install Docker

Download Docker Desktop from the official guide, run the installer with the recommended WSL 2 option, then open Docker and wait for the engine to start: Docker Desktop for Windows ↗.

Open the command window

Select the Windows Search button on the taskbar, type PowerShell, and open Windows PowerShell: .

Paste this first check and press Enter:

Check Docker
docker version

You should see both Client and Server sections. If Server is missing, open Docker and wait for it to finish starting.

Create a safe place for settings and downloaded files

Docker calls this a volume. It keeps important application files when you replace or update the container.

Create persistent storage
docker volume create voxcpmtts_data

Download and start VoxCPMTTS

Copy the complete one-line command, paste it into the same window, and press Enter. The first download can be large, so leave the window open.

Open VoxCPMTTS

Wait until the application reports that it is ready, then select this button:

Open Generate for natural speech or voice design, or Clone to upload or record a consented reference. Stream provides progressive playback, Voices stores reusable profiles, and API and System expose integration and runtime details.

If the page does not open yet, give the first startup another minute and try again.

What did the choices change?

The full image includes model assets and is the easiest offline-friendly choice after the first pull. The tiny image downloads models during first use. Docker Hub and GHCR are official sources; 1ms is an optional third-party mirror. Local-only binds to 127.0.0.1; home-network access publishes the port on every interface and belongs only on a trusted private network.
